There are pediatric nutritionists, sports nutritionists, nutritionists who specialize in various medical conditions such as obesity, disordered eating, diabetes, oncology, just to name a few. Nutrition, as a profession, is growing and expanding at a rapid pace, affecting most aspects of our lives.
Credentialed nutritionists have access to the most current information available. There is a strict code of ethics to be followed as well as mandatory updates to evaluate personal knowledge and professional practices. All of this is ultimately designed to protect the public.
